A look at our first three sewing projects

I thought I would post pictures of the examples of our first three sewing projects so everyone could see what we are going to be doing.

Week 1 - we will be making this cute little organizer.  I have used it to hold crayons in the picture below but you can use it to hold whatever you like!  Everyone will have the same color organizer with the same color ribbon!  (All girls love pink, right?!?)

Week 2 - A Place Mat Purse!!  Oh - what girl doesn't love a cute purse!!!  And these are so fun because they are made out of place mats.  The girls will even learn how to sew off their corners to the the purse has a nice flat bottom!!  The example purse below is tan with black handles.  There will be one girl making a tan purse with black handles.  The rest of the girls will be making either a red purse with red handles or a black purse with black handles.

Week 3 - A Dish towel apron!!  We are going to learn how to make a simple apron out of a dish towel!!  There will be several girls doing the same design below, several will be doing ones with a different patterned towel, several will be doing ones that are a solid green, and the rest will be doing ones that our solid blue!  One thing is for certain though - they will all be ADORABLE and very functional!!

Our last two projects will be a pillowcase and a skirt!!  The girls will be able to pick out their own fabric for these two projects!!  I can't wait to see what cute pillowcases and skirts we end up with!!!
